Project Content
The project studies social inequality in a comparative perspective. The theoretical framework and the methodology have been developed by Surinder Jodhka, Boike Rehbein, Jessé Souza and others in the course of fifteen years. Currently, empirical studies of India and Turkey are carried out. These studies comprise qualitative interviews with all sections of the respective populations in a representative sample. The documentary method is used for the interview interpretation, while multivariate methods are applied to the coded results in addition to the qualitative interpretation.
